Why we bought Bring It On CrossFit?

I've been involved with CrossFit for over 12 years, training in South Africa and Australia, and it’s been so much more than just a workout for me. CrossFit has been a huge part of my journey every time I’ve moved—whether interstate in South Africa, internationally to Australia, or interstate here. Each new CrossFit box brought amazing people into my life, many of whom have become lifelong friends.

Sports have always been my thing, and when I stopped playing competitively CrossFit became my outlet to push myself and stay competitive. I love the focus on physical fitness, strength training, and the unique CrossFit philosophy of constantly varied functional movement performed at high intensity. Beyond the physical side, CrossFit has been a big mental boost for me, helping me manage stress and stay positive. I’ve also loved being part of a community of like-minded people who share those same goals.

As a physiotherapist, I’ve had the chance to work with professional and semi-professional sports teams, giving me a deep understanding of how strength training supports athletic performance, helps prevent injuries, and keeps athletes resilient over time. But I've also seen the other side of things while working in aged care, where age-related muscle loss and frailty were all too common. It really hit home how a lack of strength training contributes to lost mobility and increased health risks in older adults.

So when the opportunity came up to buy Bring It On CrossFit, we knew we had to go for it. I truly believe CrossFit is for anyone, at any age. I’m dedicated to building a supportive, positive community where everyone, whether you’re a young athlete, brand new to CrossFit, or just looking to stay active as you get older, can train safely, push themselves, and feel supported every step of the way. My goal for Bring It On CrossFit is to be a welcoming space where all fitness levels feel encouraged and valued as part of a strong happy and healthy community.

We can’t wait to help each of you on your journey toward your goals and to build a strong, supportive community together. Here’s to pushing limits, building strength, and achieving more than we thought possible—together!
